The commitment and support of the current Kayode Fayemi-led administration in Ekiti state to putting an end to shortage of potable water supply being experienced in some parts of Ekiti State has again been stressed.
The Secretary to Ekiti State Government, Mr. Abiodun Oyebanji made this known in Ado-Ekiti while playing host to Ekiti State Water Corporation Mentor team from Lusaka Waters, Zambia, which is under Water Operators Partnership, a component of the Third National Urban Water Sector Reform Project.
Mr. Oyebanji, who reiterated the readiness of the present administration to partner organizations with best global practices, stressed that availability of portable water, which plays prominent role in determining the health status of the populace was a primary concern of the administration.
Earlier, the head of the delegation from Ekiti Water Corporation Mentor team from Zambia, Mr. Kelvin Chitumbo said the aim of the visit was to carry out the inspection of facilities on ground and see how best his Corporation could assist the State in making potable water available to the people.
