The FIFA Women’s World Cup trophy made a stop-over in Nigeria on its tour of 24 countries qualified to participate at the championship in France, with former Eagles striker, Peter Odemwingie being part of the team.

The Falcons are currently camping in Spain ahead of the finals in the month of June, Dilichukwu, who is a former member of Nigeria Football Federation added that she strongly believes that with the level of preparation from the Cyprus Invitational to the four-nation tourney and now Spain indicates that the team will do well in France.

“It a very good preparation because the players need to acclimatize very well.

“Feel the environment of outside counties so they know they know they are going for competition and NFF has done well this time”.

“They didn’t do it in their fire brigade way like before, after all, it’s female football”.

“This is the kind of preparation I have been clamoring for, and I believe the girls having prepared very well will deliver a great result”.
