Nigeria now has one more radio station – thanks to Kunle Onime, the gentle giant who pioneered experiential marketing in Nigeria with his company, Marketing & Promotions Concept (MPC).
Named Roots FM and sited in the rocky city of Abeokuta, in Ogun State, its Frequency Modulation is 97.1.
Doing wondrously well so far, the station which officially took off on Saturday, April 13, 2019 has Reggae music as its distinguishing factor and unique selling proposition.
Reggae lovers, expectedly, have permanently tuned to the station, savouring all the classic Reggae songs being constantly dished out.
Speaking on his newest baby, Mr. Onime, who has been into showbiz and experiential marketing all his adult life, said his joy knows no bounds. “But all the glory, of course, goes to the Almighty God for making this possible.’
On his dream for Roots FM, he quipped: “Of course, to become the No. 1 radio station, not only in Ogun State and environs, but also throughout the country.”
