The duo of Super Eagles stars, Wilfred Ndidi and Kelechi Iheanacho are gunning for Leicester City’s Player of the Season and Young Player of the Season awards respectively.
Ndidi has been present in the Leicester City squad all season, the midfielder is the current holder of the Young Player of the Season award and he’s one of the favorites for the Player‘s of the year award.
The 22 year old former Genk midfielder‘s performance has been excellent for the Foxes since joining the Club and has scored two goals from 34 Premier League games this season.
As for Iheanacho , the attacker has struggled to hold down a regular place the in the team with manager Brenda Rogers preferring Jamie Vardy who’s also nominated for the player of the year award in attack.
The former Manchester City forward has scored once in 28 league appearances for Leicester City, hence his chance of winning award is slim.
The winner of the awards will be announced at the end of the season ceremony at the King Power Stadium on May 7th 2019.
