He disclosed this while speaking with newsmen after the tourney saying “attempts are being made to meet with stakeholders such as the Ministry of Youth and sports, Ministry of Education, National Sports Commission and the state sports council among others in order to achieve this”.

He lamented that golf’s awareness had been his concern, adding that it deserves more support and participation.

Speaking on the plan of the present administration which he is spearheading, Sunmonu said “our plan is to serve the interest of members of the club well. We will ensure our greens are properly handled to be one of the best in the country.”
