Ekiti PenCom Staff Receive Accolades

Members of staff of Ekiti State Pension Commission (PenCom) have been commended for channeling all energies toward ensuring successful implementation of Contributory Pension Scheme (CPS) which started since 2017.

The Executive Secretary, Pension Commission, Mr. James Idowu Akinola gave this commendation at the first edition of year 2019 quarterly interactive session and presentation of award to outstanding members of staff in Ado-Ekiti.

Mr. Akinola, who disclosed that the Contributory Pension Scheme is still in progress  charged the staff not to be intimidated by the daunting challenges confronting them on the job but to put up more efforts in sustaining the success story.

The Executive Secretary said the interactive session would create an enabling environment for the management and staff to rub minds together which would further the workings of the Commission.

He lauded the State Governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi for approving release of funds for the in-house training and data collation and monitoring in the Commission.

Mr. Akinola described the programme as unique as outstanding members of staff of the Commission were all rewarded for hard work, passion and diligence on duty. Prizes, awards and letters of commendation were distributed for encouragement at the occasion.

Those who received letters of commendation and other awards for various outstanding contributions include Mr. Dare Ajayi, Mr. Olusola Akinluyi and Mr. Abiodun Oluwasiku.

Responding on behalf of other recipients, Mr. Dare Ajayi and Mr. Olusola Akinluyi who felt so honoured, enjoined other workers to always put in their best in order to make their mark for them to be remembered always.

While delivering his lecture on “Ethical Behaviour” in the Public Service, the Director of Investment Management in the commission, Mr. Wole Faleye said being ethical at work will enhance productivity. He encouraged teamwork, transparency and accountability in the discharge of official duties and cautioned against flamboyant dressing and excessive spending to avoid financial embarrassment.
