The Kayode Fayemi-led Government in Ekiti State has said it would partner with the Federal character Commission to ensure that the State is not shortchanged on recruitment at the Federal level.
The Director-General of the Bureau of Employment, Labour and Productivity, Mr. Lanre Ogunjobi, who gave this indication during a courtesy visit to the Ado-Ekiti office of the Federal Character Commission.
Mr. Ogunjobi, who appealed to the Commission to always update the Bureau on job vacancies at the Federal level, stressed that this will help the teeming unemployed youths in the state to apply for such positions on time.
Responding, the State Coordinator, Federal Character Commission, Mrs. Funke Olajubu, who advised Local Governments authorities in Ekiti State to always endeavor to authenticate requests of individuals for Certificate of State of Origin before issuance so that the state would not be deprived of its slot promised that the Commission will always protect the interest of the state in terms of employment quotas.
