The founder of the foundation, who is also the Otunba of Lagun, Arc. Hassan Giwa, in his remark, disclosed that the rationale behind the establishment of the foundation is to contribute his quota towards the development of mankind and the society in general.

He pointed out areas like education, agriculture, youth, women and widow empowerment and health as the major focus of the foundation, saying that the foundation has been assisting students, youths, farmers, women and widows in the community and Lagelu Local Government as a whole.

Otunba Giwa said further that, while not less than 100 students from both primary and secondary schools have benefitted from the foundation’s educational support scheme with payment of their Common Entrance and WAEC examinations fees, the foundation has also distributed uniforms as well as furniture to pupils and a school in the community.

The founder of Hassan Olawale Giwa Foundation, while appreciating the people in the community and the entire local government for their support for the foundation and its programmes, urged them to put into use all the teachings and lessons of the holy month of Ramadan.

The Chairman at the event, Alhaji Remi Adebayo charged parents to be proactive in the affairs and caring of their children, saying that the bulk stops on their table whether the children exhibited positive or negative characters.

He praised the lecturers for the well delivered topics and charged Muslim faithfuls to endeavour to propagate Islam through good behaviour and relations to other Muslims and all mankind.
