The much anticipated takeoff of RACBAR Academy has happened with swimming as about 50 pupils that signified aquatic in the form they obtained were inducted into the academy.
The event which was attended by parents was held at the Obafemi Awolowo Stadium training swimming pool being managed by Kayrom Lee.
Swimming kits were freely distributed to all the accredited pupils while the head coach for RACBAR swimming section Ibrahim Oloko Musa took the kids through theoretical aspects of swimming in a classroom.
The initiator of RACBAR Academy who doubles as the CEO of Kayrom Lee Nig Ltd, Amb. Romoke Ayinde, in her address thanked parents for encouraging their wards to embrace aquatic sport.
“I must express my appreciation to our parents here for summoning courage to support the dream of their kids, most people used to exhibit fear towards aquatic sport but I’m assuring you here that the safety of your children is our utmost priority in RACBAR”, Amb. Ayinde noted.
She, however, promised to make champions out of the kids in a short while in swimming going by the pedigree of the coaches employed by RACBAR to train the kids.
Other sports according to the media officer of RACBAR, Olanrewaju Agiri will soon be unveiled as scheduled by the management and trustees of the sports academy.
