The Development Agenda For Western Nigeria (DAWN Commission) has announced that all is set for the staging of a special stakeholders’ security summit that will have all the governors of the Western part of Nigeria in attendance. It holds on Tuesday, June 25, 2019 in Ibadan, the capital city of Oyo State.
PMParrot was reliably informed by DAWN Commission’s management that all the governors including Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos, Seyi Makinde of Oyo, Dapo Abiodun of Ogun, Gboyega Oyetola of Osun, Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti and Oluwarotimi Akeredolu of Ondo have confirmed that they will personally attend the epochal event.
We were also told that the convener, Governor Akeredolu of Ondo State has assured that a communiqué will be issued at the end of the summit.
Akeredolu, who is also the Chairman, Western Nigeria Governors’ Forum was said to have confirmed that all notable Yoruba leaders will be present at the event slated for Ogunlesi Hall, opposite the University College Hospital. It starts by 9a.m.
Said one of the organizers “the summit will discuss the issue of insecurity in Nigeria and in the Western part of the country specifically. This is because the Western part of the country cannot exist in isolation. All concerned citizens are free to attend.”
PMParrot was equally informed by the organizers that those who wish to confirm or ask questions in connection with this summit may call Adetayo Adeleke-Adedoyin on 07033049755.
