Hon. Babatunde Abegunde, the Chairman, Ekiti State Teaching Service Commission has restated that the present Kayode Fayemi-led administration was prepared to attend to yearnings and aspirations of teachers in the state.

Abegunde, who hosted the Executives of the Non-Academic Staff Union (NASU) and Conference of Bursars of Secondary Schools (COBUSS) in his office in Ado-Ekiti advised them to lead by example and present their grievances and requests officially and properly.

While urging them to concentrate on their profession to break new grounds for them to be accorded necessary recognition by  government, the Chairman affirmed that the leadership of the Commission would forward their entreaties to appropriate quarters for attention.

Earlier, the Chairman of Ekiti State chapter of the NASU/COBUS, Comrade Rotimi Akinwande had enumerated some of the challenges confronting members of the union which he listed to include non-payment of peculiar allowance; lack of adequate office accommodation; and promotion of Bursars to grade level 15 amongst others.
