Ekiti LG Workers Warned Against Truancy, Lateness To Work

Local Government workers in Ekiti State have been warned against truancy and lateness to work to guarantee smooth administration and rapid development at the grassroots.

 The Chairman, Ekiti State Local Government Service Commission, Mr. Samuel Abejide gave the warning during official visit to Gbonyin, Ado, and Ekiti South West Local government areas recently.

Mr. Abejide noted it was high time such unbecoming attitude of coming late to work be jettisoned, urging them to desist from the acts henceforth.

The Chairman, who reiterated the determination of the Commission to give their welfare top priority, urged them to key into Dr. Kayode Fayemi’s five point developmental agenda which are aimed at restoring Ekiti values.

Earlier, the Permanent Secretary in the Commission, Mr. Mayowa Oyedeji who urged the staff to always abide by the rules and regulations of the commission implored them to have change of attitude towards their work.

He appealed for calm and patient concerning their entitlements which are in arrears with assurance that the Governor Kayode Fayemi-led government is already making concerted efforts to offset those arrears and give them all succor.

The Coordinating Directors of the three Local Government areas of, Ekiti South West and Ado Local Governments, Mr. Yinka Borisade, Mr. Sesan Aina respectively and the Director of Administration of Gbonyin Local Government, Mr. David Jejelowo pledged the cooperation and loyalty of their staff to the administration of His Excellency, Dr Kayode Fayemi in its efforts to restoring Ekiti Values and institute a lasting legacy.

On the entourage of the Chairman are the Commissioners in Charge of General Administration, Hon. Wole Olujobi, Appointment and Posting, Barrister Dele Oloje, Budget, Planning, Research and Statistics, Comrade Adebisi Dada, Special Duty, Comrade Segun Onaade, Establishment and Management Matters, Alhaja Mariam Ogunlade and Environmental, Health services, Princess Bunmi Agunbiade Omosola and other top government functionaries in the commission.
