Portuguese Primeira Liga side, Vitória de Guimaraes have announced that they have reached an agreement with Porto for the transfer of Nigeria’s Super Eagles midfielder, Mikel Agu.
Through a statement on their official website of the club, the skillful midfielder has penned a three-year deal that will keep him at Vitória de Guimaraes until the summer of 2022, with the Victorian club holding 50% of his economic rights.
The contract signed by the Nigerian also includes a termination clause of 10 million euros.
Mikel has already started training with his new employer under the guidance of manager Ivo Vieira.
The 26-year-old officially joined Porto in 2011 and made two appearances for their first team but was a key player for the B team who play in the second tier of Portuguese football.
He was loaned out to Club Brugge, Vitória de Setúbal and Bursaspor due to his lack of first-team opportunities.
