A former governor of Oyo State, Senator Rashidi Ladoja has publicly announced that he is no longer playing partisan politics again adding that this will enable him to face what he called ‘developmental politics’.

Senator Ladoja, who was the Chairman at the event, said it is imperative at this point in time for all sons and daughters of Lagun to form a common front with the purpose of giving it a new look through series of development.

He submitted that Lagun at a particular time was one of the major settlements for the farm produce merchants in the South West, saying that the town is supposed to be wearing a new look and witnessing series of developmental projects.

Senator Ladoja, who is also the Osi Olubadan of Ibadan, declared that his involvement in politics now is for developmental purpose, saying that he has bidding farewell to partisan politics.

The 17-chapter book, which was the part two of the historical background of Lagun town, was dedicated to Oba Lekan Balogun, Prof. Kamil Oloso and Alhaji (late) Biliaminu Alesinloye.

Oba Lekan Balogun, in his goodwill message, stated that efforts are underway for the establishment of a tertiary institution in the town to ensure development.
