Christians from all walks of life gathered at Ilase-Ijesa, in Obokun Local Government of Osun state recently to witness the foundation laying ceremony of magnificent 1,000 seater church auditorium of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries.
The ceremony, described by many, as a remarkable event came up amidst pomp and pageantry as traditional chiefs in Obokun and other religious faithful joined from various Christian denominations to witness the occasion.
Among the dignitaries who graced the occasion were the Alase of Ilase-Ijesa, Oba Isiaka Adesina Ajarabiolu, Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria Chairman for Obokun and Ilase-Ijesa, Pastor Benjamin Fabilurin, and Ven. Solomon Tayo respectively, Regional Overseer for MFM Abuja, Osogbo and Ife, Psts David Yeye, Olatunde Okesina and Michael Adebayo respectively and MFM, Ilase Assembly Pastor, Moses Oyeyemi.
Other notable figures are Estate Developer, Mr. Supo Ojo, Mrs Adebola Ojo, Hon. Ogunfolabi, former Osun state Commissioner of Agriculture.
Welcoming guests to the event, the Regional Overseer of MFM, Osogbo District, Pst Okesina told the gathering that the foundation laying ceremony of MFM in Ilase-Ijesa is a pointer that light has come to the ancient town.
Delivering word of exhortation at the programme, Regional Overseer of MFM, Abuja, Pst Yeye told the gathering that every house built must have solid foundation and any house with no strong foundation would surely collapse.
Quoting from the book of Psalm 127: 1, the man of God in his sermon titled “You and Your Foundation”, urged individuals to make Lord Jesus their foundation.
He added that every man must be convinced of the necessity of some sure and certain foundation, for peace, comfort, and hope, with respect to his future state.
Pst Okesina thereafter led dignitaries and other men of God to the site to perform the foundation laying ceremony.
The new auditorium will be ready for use before first quarter of next year.
MFM started worship in Ilase-Ijesa in March 2017.
