A tanker with a full load of petrol caught fire on Wednesday morning along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway. The tanker had been parked overnight at the median, by Kwyakyama axis after Ogere toll gate.
The incident forced a diversion of traffic inbound Ibadan into Iperu Town enroute Saapade to Ibadan.
Men of the Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps (TRACE) joined men of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Police and the Fire Service to handle the situation.
It was reported that the tanker in question is said to belong to MRS.
