The Vice Chancellor of the great University of Ibadan, Professor Idowu Olayinka took to his social media pages during the weekend to celebrate the Provost of the University’s College of Medicine, Professor Emiola Oluwabunmi Olapade-Olaopa.
Prof Olayinka, we gathered, was ecstatic that the brilliant Provost had been elected into the Board of Directors of the Societe Internationale d’Urology (World Congress of Urology) as Chairman of the Membership Section for Africa and the Middle East at the General Assembly of the 39th Congress which held in Athens, Greece on Saturday, October 20, 2019.
This in essence, made Olapade-Olaopa to become the first Nigerian, and only the 4th African, to be elected on the highest decision-making body of the Society in its 112-year history.
Many admirers of the Provost have since been sending congratulatory notes to him. Many others prayed for him.
