The wife of the Governor of Ekiti State, Erelu Bisi Fayem has hailed Voice 89.9FM Radio in Ado Ekiti as it begins its 2019 Christmas and End of the Year Bouquet.
The set of events organised by the Management of the premier Radio Station in Ekiti State to usher in the 2019 Father Christmas into the station was officially declared open by the Governor’s wife on Thursday.
The representatives of Erelu Bisi Fayemi, her Senior Special Adviser (SSA) on Public Affairs, Mrs. Tokunbo Gbadamosi hailed the station for hosting the set of events to mark Christmas.
Speaking also at the event, the Speaker of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Barrister Funminiyi Afuye said: “I am here to signpost this event by joining the Voice FM to welcome the Father Christmas to the Station. The season we are is a period for our Lord Jesus Christ who represents the best that we can ever imagine. Jesus was crucified, killed, buried and rose for us to live and be alive till today. He died for us so that we can be rich”.
The Speaker also used the opportunity to advise pupils not to join bad gangs. He went further to counsel the pupils not to misbehave while in school, at home and at all times.
Giving his remarks at the opening ceremony, the General Manager of Voice 89.9FM, Mr. Donald Falayi thanked the dignitaries and the school children who were at the event.
Other important dignitaries present at the event included Honourable Akeem Jamiu, the Deputy Speaker of the Ekiti State House of Assembly; the President General/Iyaloja of Ekiti State, Chief Mrs. Waye Osho; the Managing Director/CEO of Little By Little Photos in Ado Ekiti, Chief Ade Ajayi among others.
Some of the guests at the occasion who were given the opportunity to speak prayed for God’s protection upon the lives of the Children.
