Giwa, Prominent Oyo APC Member Sues For Genuine Reconciliation, Meets Party Leaders, Donates Gifts

A prominent member of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Oyo State and Founder, Hassan Olawale Giwa (HOG) Foundation, Arc. Hassan Giwa has called for genuine reconciliation meetings of all aggrieved members of the party in Lagelu Local Government.

Arc. Giwa made the call during a stakeholders’ meeting of the party held on December 31st, 2019 in Ibadan.

He suggested that setting up a reconciliation committee to unite all aggrieved members will be the best option for party at this point in time.

He appealed to all and sundry to make the day’s meeting the beginning of new things in Lagelu Local Government.

Arc. Giwa clarified that his involvement in politics was borne out of passion to give assistance within his capacity to the people.

The Otunba of Lagun noted that through his foundation, Hassan Olawale Giwa Foundation, he has been reaching out to people, not only in Ibadan but throughout the state irrespective of political affiliation.

Arc. Giwa reiterated that politics is an avenue to give and do more to the people, in addition to what one has been doing before attaining political position.

He added that this called for the people to always choose those they know very well, people of good character and fear of God to represent them.

While promising to do whatever is in his capacity to support the party, Arc. Giwa donated cash gift for the celebration of the new year.

Arc Giwa, therefore, congratulated the people of Oyo State and the entire Christian community, on the Christmas and new year celebration.

He called for peaceful coexistence among all and sundry irrespective of religion, tribe and political affiliation.

The All Progressive Congress (APC) Chairman in Lagelu Local Government, Mr. Kehinde Adeleke and other leaders in attendance, Hon. Remi Adebayo and Pa Odunade commended Arc. Giwa for his bold steps.

They acknowledged that the move will go a long way in uniting the party for future activities and take it to better positions.

They all agreed that reconciliation effort cannot be limited to a meeting, while promising to continue to engage all aggrieved members to come back and work together again for the good of the party.

The meeting was attended by the APC chairman in Lagelu Local Government, Kehinde Adeleke, all local executive members, all ward chairmen, councilors and supers in the council area.
