History was made on Friday as Prof. Olufemi Omisore officially handed over the mantle of leadership of Lagelu Grammar School Old Boys Association (LAGSOBA) to Hon. Justice Olukayode Adegbola Adeniyi as the association’s National President.
According to ‘Leye Adeniran, the National Public Relations Officer of the old boys in a statement made available to PMParrot, the handing-over ceremony which started around 1.00pm was held at Lagelu Grammar School, Ibadan, the Oyo State capital city.
In his handing-over note, the former National President noted that the Set System Approach adopted by his administration yielded positive results as the School has become a pride to not only members of the association but Oyo State and Nigeria a whole. He later handed over the official documents and financial records of the association to the new President while the national secretariat was equally handed over.
In his response, the National President, Hon. Justice Olukayode Adegbola Adeniyi thanked the leadership of Prof Olufemi Omisore for the good job done during his tenure. He said all eyes are seeing the good works of the past administration while he promised to consolidate on the gains recorded by the previous administrations.
He later presented award plaques and certificates of recognition to members of the past administration.
Present at the short event were members of the old and new National Executive Council. Members were later treated to a sumptuous lunch by the National President, Hon. Justice Adegbola Adeniyi.
