Prophet Olabode Odunayo,  the General Overseer of Love of Christ Global Bible Church, Sawmill/Old Ife Road area, Ibadan, Oyo State has called on Nigerians to pray for Nollywood actors so that sudden death will not visit them in the new year.

He asked for prayers so that God’s mercy will come down upon the members of the ‘make believe’ world to keep sudden death away.

The Cleric also took time to describe the affirmation of the victory of Governor Seyi Makinde in the March 9, 2019 gubernatorial election by the Supreme Court as a triumph for justice and the power of the people to democratically determine their leaders.

He posited that the Supreme Court must be commended for its apparent courage and forthrightness in the face of undue pressure by certain elements to pervert the cause of justice in the election petition matter.

The cleric, Prophet Odunayo ahead of the church’s ‘Fowokanmi’ prayer mountain programme emphasized that the ruling of the apex court further affirmed the fact that the court remained the last hope of the people.

Odunayo also known as Baba Love said the maturity with which stakeholders in the state submitted to the judiciary is an indicator that the people are becoming enthrenched in placing the collective interest above narrow individual interests, which calls for those elected to serve them to reciprocate by avoiding exclusive governance.

He urged the Governor to accept that with the Supreme Court ruling, it is time for him to become the Governor of Oyo State and not be attached to only one political party, stressing that, this latest development calls for dropping all affiliations and working only to serve millions of Oyo state people whose crave for development cut across party lines.

The General Overseer equally condemned the level of kidnapping and banditry in Nigeria and called on the government at all levels including security agencies to address the situation and also find solution to the activities of herdsmen who go about to destroy people’s farms.

He lamented the continuous increase of corruption which has eaten deep into the fabric of the country despite the promises by the Federal Government to eradicate it.

He also tasked the government to do all it takes to ensure the release of Leah Sharibu who has remained in the hands of  Boko Haram insurgents since February 19, 2018.

According to him, the spate of kidnapping and attacks on innocent citizens in the country is alarming. He expressed disappointment that the trend has continued without any cogent approach to address the menace.

“The rate, frequency and widespread coverage of kidnappings and armed robbery we are witnessing today in Nigeria have reached alarming and very disturbing proportions. A cloud of uncertainty regarding our lives covers the entire nation and yet, government is acting as if nothing is wrong” he added.

While reeling out his prophesy for the year 2020 during the church forthnight programmes ‘Fowokanmi’ held at Fowokanmi International Prayer Mountain, Apomu, Osun State, he said, “there will be promotion for all classes of people who believe in the Lord. Every good thing you have lost in 2019, you will recover them in 2020.

“If you were faithful to the Lord in 2019, be more faithful in 2020. Those who are not faithful in offering better gifts to God, they close the window of heaven against themselves. The first thing you need to do is to give your heart to God. Then, better days await you.

“The new year is a year to avenge. God is going to avenge the wicked. He said people should turn their ways to God. The new year is going to be a year of Harvest. Nigerians will witness a good harvest in everything they lay their hands upon”.
