Ekiti Council Of Elders’ Scribe, Niyi Ajibulu Cautions Antagonists Of Operation Amotekun

A word of caution has gone out to those opposing the Western Nigeria Security Network codenamed Operation Amotekun.

Elder Niyi Ajibulu, the Scribe for the Ekiti State Council of Elders made this known in Ado Ekiti during the Solidarity Rally organised by the Southwest Geo Political Zone of the Country in conjunctions with the Development Agenda for Western Nigeria (DAWN Commission) to drum more support for the Security Network.

Ajibulu, while speaking further on the issue, said: “Operation Amotekun has come to stay in the Southwest not minding those antagonising its establishment. Since the initiative was birthed, the fact remains that the project has received more and more support within and outside the Southwest Zone of the Country”.

He stated that the essence of the establishment of the Security Outfit was to compliment the efforts of the Federal Government in the area of providing adequate Security for the people.

“That the concept has been getting support from outside of the region connotes good things to come. Having and establishing the Operation Amotekun is to protect ourselves, nothing else. Our people should ensure they cooperate with the Security Agencies in the country”.

Ajibulu noted further that those who have been speaking against the establishment of Operation Amotekun are only being misguided.

“The Security Outfit is to protect the Yoruba Nation from the hands of those infiltrating and destroying its farmlands and abducting people in exchange for monies”.

The leader of the Ekiti State Council of Elders expressed his regrets that the people of the Zone no longer feel safe and secured to move round freely in their own land as a result of the activities of the people of the underworld and hardened criminals invading their farmlands and destroying their farm products.

“The Solidarity Walk is to show that the people are solidly behind the Security Project. It is to show that the Yoruba people are standing behind the Governors in the Southwest Zone. It is to show total support to the movement and the Initiative”.

“Yoruba people are no doubt united more than ever before with their Governors to see the success of Operation Amotekun in the Southwest Zone.

“Those publicly speaking against it from the Southwest Zone are being misguided. The word ‘Amotekun’ does not in anyway connote Christianity. Such group antagonizing the Security Initiative should have waited. If they have alleged that our traditional institutions are trying to take over, maybe we would have said that they have a case”.

Ajibulu counseled the people of the Zone to be very watchful and extremely vigilant saying “Operation Amotekun has landed and we must cooperate with the Security Personnel already employed by the Governors to do the job for all of us. Whoever is averse to the formation of the Security Outfit should be seen as being Satanic”, he submitted.
