Meet Olubusayo Oladejo, UCH’s Eighth Director Of Administration

History was made recently at the University College Hospital in Ibadan when Mr. Stephen Olubusayo Oladejo, the erstwhile Deputy Director of Administration (Hospital Services) emerged as the eighth Director of Administration (DA) of the Hospital.

He replaced Alhaji Yemi Shiyanbola who had to retire after serving UCH meritoriously for 35years.

Born on the 7th of November, 1967, Oladejo attended Community High School Atapa, in Akinyele LGA, Ibadan, and studied Political Science at the Joseph Ayo Babalola University from where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree (Upper Division) in 2013.

Prior to obtaining a Bachelor’s degree, he had obtained a Masters Degree in managerial psychology from the University of Ibadan in 1999.

He later proceeded to the Nigerian Institute of Policy and Strategic Studies Kuru, Jos to obtain a Certificate of Policy, Strategy & Leadership Course (PSLC 27) in September, 2017.

He is a Fellow of the Institute of Health Service Administrators of Nigeria, a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria and the Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered).

Along the line, he served as chairman, Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPM) Oyo, State Branch. He also served as Chairman, Branch Conference Planning Committee, Institute of Health Service Administrators of Nigeria (IHSAN). He was Elected Governing Council Member, CIPM in 2013 and in 2018 he was appointed the Chairman, School Governing Board of his Alma mater, Atapa Community High School, Ibadan.

He has attended scores of conferences and workshops where he delivered lectures on wide-ranging topics.

In appreciation of his leadership stride and commitment to excellence, Mr. Oladejo received six letters of commendation from the hospital between 2015 and 2017.

As Director of Administration, he hopes to bring his wealth of experience to bear on the system by helping the management to enhance staff welfare and patients’ comfort.

While chatting with PMParrot, Oladejo said “It is God’s doing. I plan to remain God-fearing and I will do my best to deliver. UCH is ours. We must all cooperate and continue to lift it up.”

His is married and blessed with children.
