The immediate past administration in Oyo State under Senator Abiola Ajimobi has been described as one that was directed by a typical Diego Maradona.

Hon Saheed Akinade-Fijabi, a two-time member of the House of Representatives from the state made this analogy while featuring on a popular radio programme aired on Fresh 105.9 in Ibadan, the capital city of the state on Saturday morning.

The youthful politician said “Senator Ajimobi ran the government like Maradona or Lionel Messi but I can say here that so far, he is the best governor ever to rule Oyo State.”

While speaking on how he has been surviving since he lost his bid to return to the House of Reps during last year’s general election, Fijabi said “I don’t miss anything except that I cannot contribute to debates on the floor of the House of Reps again.

“So far so good, I have been on some kind of recess and now, I am running my foundation with the support of like minds and we are still empowering the people of Ibadan South West Federal constituency and others”.

On the recent controversy over the establishment of Operation Amotekun, the Western Nigeria Security Network, Fijabi submitted “It is good for all of us in Western Nigeria to support this noble project. We should not look at it from the angle of politics. We need to secure our own part of Nigeria.
