Primus Media Academy To Honour Yanju Adegbite, Others

Primus Media Academy, the organizers of The Media Nite, a monthly gathering of the media industry in Ibadan has announced their line up of honorees for the month of March.

According to the Academy’s statement published on its social media platforms, the event which made its debut in January will be held in honour of four distinguished media personalities as against the previous editions that had three categories of honorees. Before now, the event used to honour a Legend, an Icon and a Shining Star, but henceforth, starting from the March edition, it will now feature a fourth category, named the Idol category.

According to Afouda Samuel, the Convener in the statement “The idol category is exclusively for a distinguished practitioner, from outside Ibadan, who is worthy of emulation and veneration”.

The statement also unveiled the four honorees for the month of March and they are; Oluwadamilola Oni, the gorgeous presenter of the Yoruba programme, Aajirebi, a Rareedge production on African Magic Yoruba, Otunba Kolawole Ladoke of Tifun-tedo fame on Splash 105.5fm, who also doubles as the Head of Station of Splash FM’s sister station, Lagelu FM.

“In the Legend caregory is Chief ‘Yanju Adegbite, a renowned media technocrat and former Chairman of the Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State (BCOS), and the fourth category, which is the IDOL category, will make its debut as it will be in honour of Babajide Kolade-Otitoju, the Head of News and Current Affairs at TVC, Lagos.

“The event is scheduled to hold on Saturday the 21st of March, 2020 at the luxurious Mauve Lounge, Ring Road, Ibadan. The red carpet will kick off by 5pm, while the main event will start by 6pm.

The statement implored and encouraged all Media Practitioners, fans and enthusiasts to come out massively to attend the free event in support of the distinguished practitioners to be honoured.
