The lawmaker representing Afijio state constituency in the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Seyi Adisa has joined hands with the state government in the campaign against the spread of ravaging coronavirus in his constituency.
The lawmaker in a press release, signed and made available to PMParrot, disclosed that he has suspended all his political engagements in order to join fight against the menace of coronavirus in his constituency and the state as a whole.
According to the lawmaker, “In the light of the COVID-19 situation and the physical measures that are important to be taken to curb the virus, the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Afijio has suspended meetings and all other party activities in the constituency. This is to ensure the safety of the people.
“My office will keep supporting our people with the necessary communication regarding the prevention and spread of this virus.
“Constituents are urged to maintain adherence to these preventive measures:
Washing the hands with soap and water consistently, staying safe at home, practicing social distancing and avoiding crowded areas, covering of mouths with the elbow when sneezing or coughing and eating healthy.
