In order to prevent the spread of the deadly Corona Virus in Ekiti State, the State Government has placed an immediate ban on the use of the premises of all Primary and Secondary Schools for social and religious activities until further notice.

The State Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Mr. Foluso Daramola, who announced the Government’s decision in a statement made available to newsmen in Ado-Ekiti, said the ban also extended to the use of all school halls in the state.

The Commissioner stressed that the ban would affect both public and private primary and secondary schools in the state, warning that Administrators and proprietors of any school that violated the government directive would face the full wrath of the law.

He added that a task force would soon be set up to ensure effective implementation of the directive.
