As part of efforts to cushion the effect and ensure compliance to the government’s stay-at-home order, the lawmaker representing Afijio state constituency in the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Seyi Adisa has distributed food items to his people.
Included in the items distributed by the lawmaker were bags of beans, garri, semolina, salt, rolls of pasta (spaghetti), pepper and tomato paste.
Hon. Adisa stated that the launch of an economic stimulus package to the people in his constituency is to help in cushioning the effect of stay-at-home directive by the state government in Afijio state constituency in the light of the nation’s coronavirus outbreak.
He stated that he move is to join hands with the state government with the hope that the virus surrenders to the conjoined national and global efforts soon enough.
Hon. Adisa had earlier expressed his determination to support the people of his constituency with necessary information and materials to curb the spread of the virus.
The lawmaker urged them to maintain adherence to the preventive measures established by the state government.
He urged them to wash their hands with soap and water consistently, stay safe at home, practice social distance and avoid crowded areas, covering of mouth with elbow when sneezing or coughing and eating healthy diet.
