The Commissioner of Police, Ekiti State Command, Mr. Amba Asuquo, has on behalf of the Command, felicitated with Christians in Ekiti State as they celebrate the birth, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
According to respected police officer, “the Easter festival and holiday is a time to have sober reflection on the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, not the time to engage in any form of social vices”.
The Commissioner further reminded the citizens that “Coronavirus is real and the fight against it is still on”.
He therefore, advised everyone to be obedient to the directives of the state government and the recommendations of health professionals throughout this lockdown period even as they pray alongside.
The Commissioner, while wishing all Christians a successful Easter celebration, restated his commitment to providing maximum security for all the good people of Ekiti State. He implored them to remain resolute and optimistic that in no distant time, the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic shall be won.
