The Speaker of Ekiti State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Funmuniyi Afuye has joined other great Nigerians to congratulate the First Lady of Ekiti State, Erelu Bisi Adeleye-Fayemi on the occasion of her 57th birthday.
The congratulatory message was contained in a press statement signed by the Speaker’s Special Adviser on Media, Akogun Tai Oguntayo.
Afuye described Erelu Bisi Fayemi as a blessing to Ekiti in particular and mankind in general. “She is not just a wife to us in Ekiti but a kindhearted Mother who is passionate about every Ekiti man, woman, child and the underprivileged in particular and humanity in general,” the speaker said.
Relaying his personal experience about the wife of the Governor, the Speaker said; “I have found Erelu Bisi Fayemi to be highend civil, kindhearted, highly cerebral, bold and generous to a fault. Her ability to relate both with the hoi polloi and the high and mighty in equal measures, stands her as a special humankind. “
Afuye stated that there were two laws which emanated from the bills advocated by the wife of the Governor, Her Excellency, Erelu Bisi Adeleye-Fayemi, who is so passionate about children and women. These are; Ekiti State Gender Based Violent (Prohibition) Law, 2019 passed on 14th October, 2019 and Ekiti State Sexual Violence Against Children (Compulsory Treatment and Care) Law, 2020.
He therefore described Erelu as “humanity Advocate in motion” and prayed to God to give her long life to enjoy the fruit of her labour on the motherless and widows who she had worked tirelessly to rescue from abuse and repression.
