German Bundesliga side, Mainz 05 have send an emotional get well message to Nigeria’s Super Eagles striker, Taiwo Awoniyi, who was hospitalized after colliding with a defender in Sunday’s game.
The Liverpool owned player, who suffered an awkward landing on his neck after an aerial challenge with Felix Uduokhai, was rushed to the hospital in the 23minute of the encounter against Augsburg.
“Taiwo Awoniyi has been stretchered off injured following a nasty collision 😢 Come back stronger, Taiwo! 💪”, Mainz 05 posted said in a tweet.
Meanwhile, Awoniyi has thanked the club’s medical staff and his team-mates for their support following his recovery from the concussion he suffered in Sunday’s game.
