Ekiti State Government has directed the Kingmakers of Iyin Ekiti to absorb the Akinrinade Family into the ruling house in the ancient town as the race to fill the vacant Oluyin stool gets underway.

The Deputy Governor, Otunba Bisi Egbeyemi, gave the directive on  Thursday following the recommendations of the Committee of Traditional

Rulers in Irepodun / Ifelodun Local Government to ascertain the claim of Prince Babatunde Akinrinade to be a member of the royal family.

A statement by his Special Assistant (Media), Odunayo Ogunmola, Egbeyemi after reading the recommendations to the kingmakers and members of the ruling house urged parties to maintain peace and desists from actions that could cause chaos in the town.

The Paragraph 15 of the report of the Committee which was chaired by the Alare of Are Ekiti, Oba Boluwade Adebiyi maintained that the evidence led by the Babatunde Akinrinade was credible as he proved that the family shares from the royalty given to royal families.

The Deputy Governor warned that Government would not tolerate anyone who foments trouble as a result of Obaship tussle, saying that it was the duty of the Kingmakers to present Oba elect to the government.
