The Oyo State Chapter of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria has prayed for quick recovery of the State Commissioner for Youths and Sports Mr Seun Fakorede who tested positive for dreaded novel Coronavirus.
The Commissioner announced in a press statement he signed by himself that he had tested positive for Corona virus.
In a press release signed by the Association’s Secretary Mr Adewale Tijani, Oyo SWAN urged the Commissioner to be hopeful that he would recover.
The Association admonished Mr Fakorede not to see the infection as a death sentence but a life trial and divine will, meant to draw him closer to God.
“While we admit that this is not a happy moment but we urge you to see your present situation as a battle to be won. Be optimistic. We have no doubt that you will overcome this travail by the power of the Most High”, Oyo SWAN said in the press release.
The Association further advised the youthful commissioner to heed medical advice and take his medications as instructed by physicians.
Mr Fakorede is one of the three Commissioners in Governor Seyi Makinde cabinet who tested positive for Corona virus.
Meanwhile the leadership of the Oyo State Chapter of SWAN has called on all his members to pray for speedy recovery of the Commissioner and all others who were infected with the deadly virus which is ravaging Nigeria and other countries of the world.
