All is set for the Ogun State House of Assembly to commence the monitoring of this year’s Budget Performance on the various Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) of Government and Local Government Councils in the State to ascertain their level of compliance with the 2020 Appropriation Law at ensuring effective and efficient delivery of democratic dividends to the people.
A release signed by the Clerk of the Assembly/ Head of Legislative Services, Mr. ‘Deji Adeyemo, indicated that the annual exercise which is part of the oversight functions of the Legislative Arm of Government in promoting good governance, is in consonance with Sections 128 and 129 of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (As Amended).
The budget performance assessment tour, the release noted, would commence at 9:00am as from next Monday and will end on Thursday, 13th August, 2020.
The release enjoined all Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) of Government as well as Local Government Councils to make available relevant documents and information to ensure the success of the exercise.
