A renowned Architect and the former commissioner for Lands, Physical Planning and Urban Development in Osun State, Arc. Muyiwa Ige has described the death of Pa Ayo Fasanmi as a great loss and an exit of a loyal political icon.

He further described the late Afenifere Leader as an unrepentant Awoist, a dependable friend and political colleague of his late father, Chief Bola Ige SAN.

According to Muyiwa Ige, Pa Fasanmi was a core progressive politician with total commitment to the politics of dedication and selfless service.

“Baba was nicknamed revolutionary chemist based on his radical belief in the political ideology of late Obafemi Awolowo.

“He was a selfless political icon who never used the political offices he held to amass wealth.

“He was a dependable friend and a loyal political colleague of my late father, their friendship dated back the days of Action Group Youth Association and we, the children grow to know them as friends”,Ige said

The Arole Ige as fondly called in the political space also hinted that the late progressive politician will be remembered for his loyalty, political sagacity and the fact that he raised new political leaders, structured on the political philosophy of the sage, Chief Obafemi Awolowo.

He however prayed that the Lord shall comfort the loved ones he left behind and grant his soul sweet repose.
