Former Minister of Communications, Barrister Adebayo Shittu has been speaking about why he did not attend an ‘enlarged meeting’ of the Oyo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) held on Saturday.
Shittu confirmed he was officially invited to the meeting which was held at the Bodija, Ibadan home of Otunba Adebayo Alao-Akala.
In a telephone chat with PMParrot, the Saki-born politician said he was not able to attend the meeting because “I’m presently in Abuja attending to urgent issues but my representatives are there to take care of my interests and I am not likely to be in Ibadan for the next one week.”
It will be recalled that former governor Abiola Ajimobi before his death, inaugurated a reconciliation committee to settle the grievances between all members of the party. Ex-Governor Adebayo Alao-Akala was nominated then, as the chairman of the committee.
Senator Teslim Folarin joined Akala and other top members of the opposition APC attended the meeting.
