Former Super Eagles forward, Chinedu Obasi, has joined Austria Bundesliga side SC Rheindorf Altach on a free transfer.
The club announced the signing of the 34-year-old on their website.
“We are delighted to be able to welcome such a renowned player as Chinedu Obasi to Altach. Chinedu has already proven his qualities at the highest level. We are therefore convinced that with his scoring danger and experience, he will play an important role in our team,” the club’s website quoted Sports Director, Christian Möckel as saying.
The former Schalke man said he couldn’t wait to get started at his new side.
“Last week I was already able to see for myself how professional and meticulous the work at SCR Altach is. So I’m all the more pleased that it has now worked out and that we can get started together. I want to make my contribution to offer the fans a successful and attractive football,” Obasi told the club’s website.
