The Ibadan Grammar School Old Students Association (IGSOSA), Millennium (1994-2000) Set has donated 20 white and five graph boards worth thousands of naira to its alma mater.

The kind gesture which was extended to the school on Thursday, October 1st, 2020 was to commemorate her 20 years anniversary.

In his remarks at the event, the principal of the senior school, Mr. Oladele Michael Olajire lauded the kind gesture of the old students.

According to the principal, “I understand that it is very difficult at this time and out of the state of the economy, you all deemed it fit to give back to your alma mater, it is a thing of joy, and I promise never to take it for granted.

“It really gladdens my heart that the set I taught, decided to have come out this far to think of giving back to this school. I wasn’t even expecting the number donated today, it is a surprise to see them donate this much. Whoever writes from the board would be glad and seeing the set inscribed on it will even motivate them into replicating same in the near future,” Mr. Oladele said.

In his own remark, one of the representatives of the set, Mr. Odunayo Adebayo said the proposition to donate the boards was around December 2019 after consulting the principal on the dire need of the school.

“Although, the project should have been executed earlier this year but COVID-19 disrupted the plan and we had no choice than to wait till this time. We really hope that the other sets will do more, this way, the school will have a new look and definitely be a toast to many,” he stated.

In attendance during the presentation included Vice Principal and one of the teachers, Mr. Agbejimi, Mrs. Olajide, while Ojesanmi-Davids Adebowale, Mr. Oluwa Daniel, Mr. Ismail Agbalaya and Mr. Oluwole Femi were other representatives of the set that graced the presentation.
