Leicester City manager, Brendan Rodgers has revealed that his team missed the service of Nigeria’s Super Eagles midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi, who was sidelined because of injury.

Speaking ahead of their Europa League game against AEK Athens at Olympiako Stadio Spyros Louis, Rodgers said the team is not operation on his full capacity because of the absence of some of their player due to injuries.

Leicester will not be able to call upon three guaranteed starters namely Ndidi, Ricardo Pereira and Cağlar Söyüncü due to injuries, while Ndidi and Cağs are still recovering from adductor problems, Ricardo is working his way back to full fitness after suffering an anterior cruciate ligament injury.

“When we have the guys back, like Ndidi, Ricardo and çağs, we’ll be much better as a squad, because a lot of these guys are having game time.

“You pick the best XI for the next game and I have a trust in the squad, no matter how old or young they are.

“That feeling is redundant when you’re in a competition with so many games,” Rodgers said.

Another player form Nigeria’s Super Eagles, Kelechi Iheanacho was Leicester City’s most influential player against Zorya Luhansk in their Group G opener, scoring and setting up two goals in a 3-0 win.
