Oyo’s 1500 Amotekun Corps Members To Commence Training November 4 – Operation Commandant

The Commandant of the Oyo State Security Network code-named Amotekun, Colonel Olayinka Olayanju (rtd) has confirmed that the training programme for the Corp members will commence on November 4, 2020.

Colonel Olayanju, in a press release signed and made available to PMParrot reiterated the commitment of the state government to the protection of lives and properties of the citizenry.

The Commandant disclosed that to demonstrate that security is on the priority list of Oyo State government, it has slated the commencement of the training for Amotekun Corp for November 4, 2020 to ensure safety of lives and property.

He said the training is in accordance with the instruction given  to him by the state’s Governor Seyi Makinde, that the training should commence in earnest after the successful recruitments that was carried out throughout the thirty three (33) local governments of the state.

Olayanju continued “The training will commence from Wednesday, 4th of November, 2020 and will go through a period of two weeks.

“The training of the Corps will take place at Emmanuel Alayande College of Education, Oyo,” Colonel Olayanju said.

The Commandant stressed that all the successful applicants’ names will be pasted on the notice boards across the 33 local government areas in the state for verification.

“All the applicants are implored to check out their names through the various local governments or through the Oyo State job portal: www.jobportal.oyo state.gov.ng using their form number and user name.”

Colonel Olayanju, therefore, urged all successful applicants to arrive at the training venue not later than 9am on Tuesday, 3rd of November 2020, a day before the training’s scheduled date in order to settle down every successful applicant.

While reiterating the commitment of the security outfit to discipline and obedience, he emphasized that no lateness of any form will be condoned.

“All successful applicants are therefore enjoined to bring forth the following to the training venue – One bucket, plate and spoon, broom, two pairs of white shorts and T- shirt, a pair of canvasses of any colour.

“All successful applicants are to report at Emmanuel Alayande College of Education on Tuesday, 3rd of November, 2020 by 9am prompt, while wishing all successful applicants a successful training,” Colonel Olayanju emphasized.
