Parrot Xtra On BCOS
...our latest move...Parrot Xtra Hour on Radio now on BCOS' Oluyole 98.5fm

The journey of 3,000 kilometers starts with a step, they say. But in our own case at Parrot Xtra Media Network, our own journalistic sojourn started just 16 years ago and it was a trip that was hopelessly inundated with uncertainties.

However, we are, today grateful to God for divine sustenance and protection. It has been a tortuous journey but because it has been ‘so designed’ for us to follow this particular path, we are still rowing and focused.

Since the appointed Year 2004, we have waded through thick and thin, but His Mercy has been seeing us through.

Our story is interesting. From our eight-paged evening newspaper called PM Parrot adapted from the Bayo Onanuga-led Lagos-based PM News, to our flagship PMParrot.com website to our glossy Parrot Xtra Magazine, we kept wading through the murky waters…

Now, to the glory of God, we are fully comfortable also running a popular weekly Radio Show called Parrot Xtra Hour on Radio. We took off with this project on January 7, 2020 and the radio station that gave us the first opportunity was King 103.9fm located within the prestigious Premier Hotel in Ibadan, the capital city of Oyo State.

Because of logistics and other reasons, we shifted base to the Giwa Deji Osibogun-owned Space 90.1fm on Liberty Road and we continued to soar higher to later move to the Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State’s Oluyole 98.5fm.

Our appreciation goes to all our guests and those who have continued to support us in the broadcasting experience. We thank all members of PMParrot/Parrot Xtra Admirers on Facebook, all Friends of Parrots on our Whatsapp Platform and all others who have continued to support us.

We cannot but specifically mention the following great Nigerians for the roles they played and are still playing in the sustenance of the Parrot Xtra Media Network project: Mrs Oluwatoyin Yinka-Agboola, Alhaji Hassan Fatungase, Godwin Mekwuye (Vivid Imagination), Alhaji Bashiru Akande (Opulence Creation), Jide Adesina, Semiu Adenekan (DJ Semight), Barrister Akeem Agbaje, Seye Oyeleye (DAWN Commission), Members of the South West Group of Online Publishers (SWEGOP), Mr and Mrs Wale Adepoju, Professor Abiodun Otegbayo, Olabiyi Obisesan, Members of the 1982 Set (Lagelu Grammar School, Ibadan), Basorun Dele Momodu, Ambassador Romoke Ayinde (Kayrom Lee) Oba Adedokun Abolarin, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, Arc Muyiwa Ige, Oladepo Idowu, Evg Ajibola Ogunkeyede of UfitFly, Engineer Seyi Makinde, Otunba Seye Famojuro, Alhaji Akeem Azeez, Olugbade Alli, Olabode Opeseitan, Professor Taoheed Adedoja and several others. God knows you all.

In addition, all members of the Parrot Xtra Media Network, especially Olanrewaju Agiri, Lanre Olabisi, Timileyin Olalere and Olawale Awe have been extraordinarily consistent. And may God continue to bless the souls of Alhaji Lamidi Onaolapo Adesina and Senator Abiola Ajimobi for proudly showing the way to us.

And for those willing and wishing to proudly associate with us, our doors are always opened. Please feel free to approach us in this unique tour of ours. We pledge to continue to better our best and remain focused. Let us continue to stay safe from COVID-19.

Long live Parrot Xtra Media Network!

Long live the Federal Republic of Nigeria!
