As a true son of Yorubaland, Pop artiste, David Adeleke popularly called Davido has celebrated his mum Dr Veronica Adeleke on her posthumous birthday.
The 28-year-old shared a picture of his mum and himself on Twitter.
“Happy Birthday Mama … love and miss you always,” he wrote on Monday.
In an interview with media personality Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, Davido said his mom died as a result of cardiac arrest on his dad’s birthday.
“She died on my father’s birthday. Honestly, it was just cardiac arrest. Even if it was going to happen, I would not have known because I was about 10 or 11 years old. She was not really sick. She used to get sick once in a while but it was nothing serious,” he said on September 30.
The father of three named his daughters after his mum.
His first daughter is Imade while the second is Veronica.
