The Chief of Staff to Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State, Chief Olugbenga Ale has revealed how his abducted wife was freed.
It was also revealed that others released alongside Mrs Ale included her friend who was a co-occupant of the vehicle hijacked on Friday night.
According to a report on Governor Akeredolu’s Facebook page retrieved by PMParrot on Saturday, Mrs Ale and her friend were released on Saturday afternoon after a successful and extensive joint operation mounted by security agencies. Reports confirmed that security agencies initiated a manhunt for the criminals, following detailed intelligence gathering spearheaded by the Amotekun Corps which indicated the location and track of the hoodlums.
After sessions of hot exchanges of gunfire, the combined operations of joint security agencies were able to overpower the hoodlums and retrieved unhurt, the kidnapped individuals.
Meanwhile Chief Olugbenga Ale while confirming the good news stated that his wife and her friend were rescued unhurt by the “highly professional security forces” and are currently in excellent condition.
