One of the best hospitality havens in Oyo State, Ilaji Hotels and Sports Resort hosted dignitaries in the Christian circle to its maiden Christmas Carol.

The well packaged and well attended event witnessed the presence of the Onpetu of Ijeru, Oba Sunday Oyediran and Bishop Taiwo Adelakun of Victory Church International, who led the congregation in prayers, Oyo State CAN past and present Chairmen and other executive members and Bishop Ademola Moradeyo, who was the guest preacher.

It was held on Monday at Ilaji Hotels and Sports Resort Chapel, Akanran, Ibadan.

The Chairman, Oyo State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Christian Wing, Bishop (Dr.) Ademola Moradeyo, in his sermon, advised Christians to reflect the synthesis of the birth of Jesus Christ by showing love to the people around them irrespective of tribe and ethnicity.

Bishop Moradeyo explained that human beings are the most cherished and loved creatures in the universe, saying that this was the reason God created them in his image.

He, however, said that separation between man and God was as a result of disobedience of man to God occasioned by Satan through his evil deed. Bishop Moradeyo emphasized that God was able to reconcile with man by giving His beloved son, Jesus Christ, which is the reason the people of the world are celebrating today.

“The love we are enjoying today is unmerited love, the birth of Jesus Christ was what God used to reconcile Him and the people.”

Bishop Moradeyo, therefore, urged Christians not to lose the synthesis of the birth of Jesus Christ, saying “show love to your neighbours, friends, colleagues and people living around you irrespective of tribe and ethnicity.”

The Christian board’s Chairman stated that how to maintain peace, love, unity and peaceful coexistence should be a paramount thing in the heart of a good Christian.

The well packaged Christmas Carol was characterized by renditions of beautiful Christmas songs by Ilaji Chapel Choir and special numbers by Network for Inclusion of People with Special Needs (NIPSN) and Bois Olorun Gospu Apala.

While the Christians Association of Nigeria, Oyo State Central Choir, Redeemed Christians Church of God (RCCG), Covenant Garden Zone, Oyo Province 1 choir, Anointed Voices of BCOS Chapel and Music Technology Department, The Polytechnic, Ibadan all participated in the rendition to glorify the birth of God of gods.

In his remarks, Chief Operating Officer of Ilaji Hotels and Sports Resort, Prince Adesina Araoye, said that the organization is an outfit which stands on the tripod of hospitality, entertainment and sports with determination to make comfortability of the people a priority.

He said that Christmas period is a time of celebration, giving thanks to God and commemorating the birth of Jesus Christ. Prince Araoye stated that this is what made Ilaji Hotels and Sports Resort to give thanks to God for His love for Nigeria, Oyo State and Ilaji.

He admonished all and sundry to preach love, share love and show love to one another, adding that this is what Ilaji Hotels and Sports Resort is known for.
