Napoli are hoping striker Victor Osimhen will be ready for the Super Cup clash against rivals Juventus in January.
The Nigerian sustained a shoulder injury during the Super Eagles’ Africa Cup of Nations tie against the Leone Stars of Sierra Leone at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin November 13.
“The player (Osimhen) is in Belgium for recovery and will return to Italy next Wednesday, 24 hours after the resumption of training,” according to Tuttomercatoweb via La Repubblica.
“Only when he is visited by the Canonical doctor can a precise date be fixed. Napoli – we read – hopes to be able to call him for Wednesday 6 January against Spezia or, at most, the following Sunday for the match against Udinese away.
“But the real goal of the blue club is to have him at the top for the Super Cup with Juventus next January.”
