Irepodun LCDA Holds 2021 Inter-Faith Service As Chairman, Hon. Oladimeji Assures Of More Dividends Of Democracy

In seeking God’s intervention for the commencement of 2021 activities in Irepodun Local Council Development Area of Oyo State, the management of the council has organized an Inter-Faith service.

The event, which was held at Library and Resource Centre, Immanuel College Pry School, beside the University of Ibadan, Agbowo, Ibadan witnessed the presence of the council Chairman, Hon. Oladimeji Kamorudeen, other political appointees, government functionaries and staff of Irepodun LCDA.

In his remarks, the Chairman of the council, Hon. Oladimeji Kamorudeen, appreciated almighty God and the state governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde for the privilege to serve the people of the LCDA.

He commended the entire work force of the council area for their support towards the success of his administration since he was appointed as the chairman of the council.

Hon. Oladimeji solicited for more support from the workers in order to achieve more success in the year 2021. He assured the residents and indigenes of the council area to expect more dividend of democracy in line with Governor Seyi Makinde’s developmental agenda.

In her remarks, Head of Local Government Administration, Dr. Monsurat Alaga appreciated the chairman and members of the committee for deeming it fit to organize the programme to give back to God and appreciate Him for His mercy and support throughout the year 2020.

She noted that Hon. Oladimeji has been a wonderful and listened chairman, who is committed to the welfare of the council work force and Irepodun LCDA in general.

While urging the workers to reciprocate the good work of the present administration in the state, she disclosed that Governor Seyi Makinde has been yielding to the calls of the workers.

She, therefore, appealed to the workers to be creative, dedicated and be more committed to their duties and responsibilities.

Alhaja Alaga commended the directors and committed staff for their support in the 2020 and appealed for more support in the 2021. She also warned truant workers to change for good.

While assuring traders at Sango Market to continue to cooperate with the council authority, Dr. Alaga expressed the readiness of Irepodun LCDA to upgrade the market by creating more facilities.

Highlights of the event was the prayers for Nigeria, Oyo State and Irepodun Local Council Development Area, as well as for all political leaders and work force in the council.

The prayer sessions were led by Pastor Dare Ashaolu, Pastor in-charge, Christ Apostolic Church, Oke-Agbara and Alhaji Abdulazeez Olabode, Missioner NASFAT.

Members of the committee in attendance included Hon. Ayodele Jonathan (Secretary), Alakufo Opeyemi, Kareem Romoke, Ibrahim Faira, Oladipo Deji and Nurudeen Adio.

Also in attendance were the Director Administration and General Services, Mrs. Olusola Ejiade, Director of Finance, Mr. Bamidele Olabiyi, Director of Works, Engr. Kawiju Adedeji and Director of Education and Social Services, Mrs. Ngwee Taiwo among others.
