For the sake of our esteem reader can you please introduce yourself?

My name is Queen Omowumi Dorcas Adeola. I am the current Miss Ojuloge Nigeria.

Can you tell us about your academic background?

I started my primary education at Healbethel International Primary School and later proceeded to Anglican Girls Grammar School, Ijebu-ode for my junior secondary school while I completed my secondary education at Adeola Odutola Memorial College, Ijebu-ode. I studied Agricultural Extension management at National Open University, Ibadan Study Center and currently, I am a 200 level Student at Olabisi Onabanjo University studying Industrial relations and personal management.

How did you venture into modeling?

It all started from my primary school days because I was always the queen of my house during our annual inter-house sports competition and also, I enjoyed the privilege in my secondary School too. From there, I became Miss Red Cross in Ogun state and that was how I developed interest in modeling. My first contest as a model was the Oyo State most beautiful girl in the year 2017, though I didn’t win the contest and later I participated in Ogun most beautiful girl (Ogun MBG) where I was runner up before I decided to contest at Miss Ojuloge Nigeria 2020 where I came out victorious.

Can you tell us when you went Professional?

I started professionally in the year 2017 when I contested for the most beautiful girl in Oyo State .

At what point did you decide to contest as Miss Ojuloge and what was the experience like?

I decided to participate in the pageant around last year, It was a friend of mine who motivated me to go ahead, she said I could do it and I listened to her and for the experience, I will say it was an awesome one right from the virtual lecture, campaign to the grand finale. Every moment was very memorable to me, though it was a bit stressful.

Being the winner at the just concluded Miss Ojuloge 2020, what is the most visible thing that has changed in you?

I can say that nothing has really changed in me because I was brought up to appear neat, love and respect people. I can only attest that being Miss Ojuloge will only help me to continue to be the best I can and it has also taught me not to relent in my dream and modelling career.

Now that you are Miss Ojuloge 2020, do you have any project you are planning to embark on as a way of giving back to the society?

Yes, my plan is to support some brilliant but indigent students from Ogun State, I will go to some government public schools to give out some reading material and exercise books and as well as paying the school fees of indigent students to enable them face their studies.

This your project seems bigger than your office, so how do you intend to raise funds?

With God all things are possible, I have discussed it with some public and private sector officials but the negotiation did not work out. I will surely handle the project personally.

How rich and contented are you?

I am rich and contented by the grace of God.  I always have the support of my parents and this gives me the assurance.

So, what is your view on the general perception that every model has to experience sexual abuse or assault along the line…?

For me I will say there has been nothing like that, it is all about your dignity and how you compose yourself. I can tell you categorically that I have never encountered such and I will never subscribe to that. As a model, you need to believe in yourself, with such, no man will take advantage of you.

What does it take to become a popular model in Nigeria?

The first thing is to be self-confident. Believe in yourself and don’t limit yourself, another thing is to possess good character, respect people around you and the most important one is to be smart and brilliant. As a model you have to have an idea of almost everything and lastly believe and pray to God at all times.

As a model what are the things you eat and how do you generally keep fit?

I don’t eat junk and I don’t take soft drinks. I always engage myself in daily exercise through my gym instructors.

What is your aspiration, especially in the next five years?

By the grace of God, I am hoping to be at the top of my game and to contest at the international level.

In what way do you think the government can support modelling activities in Nigeria?

I will prefer government to support us through our pet projects.

Have you taken any step to visit the Ogun State governor ever since you were crowned?

Yes, the plan is ongoing. The fact is that there are protocols to follow because His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun is busy due to the enormous work but I believe very soon they will grant our request to visit him and all members of his cabinet.

Who is your role model in this game?

My mother and my aunty, Princess Christiana Amaya are my role models for what they have done in my career.

Lastly, what is your advice for the youth?

My candid advice for them is to be passionate about what they are doing, they should be focused and prayerful. With these three keys they will get to the top and achieve their goals.
