The executives of the Southwest chapter of Youths Sports Federation of Nigeria (YSFON) have concluded plans to hold their first colloquium of the year on Thursday 14th January in 2021 at the prestigious Ilaji Sports Resort, Ibadan, the capital city of Oyo State.
The choice of Ilaji Resort according to the secretary of Ogun State YSFON Dr. Kehinde Adeyemi was borne out of the huge support grassroots football is enjoying from the management of the sports arena, especially the CEO of the Ilaji group Engr. Dotun Sanusi.
The YSFON Secretary General, Patrick Okpavuehe is expected to lead the other national executive members down to the Ibadan for fruitful discussion on how to move the round leather game forward by executing some pilot programmes aimed at repositioning grassroots football in Nigeria from the Southwest geo-political zone of the country.
The Chairman Southwest chapter of YSFON, Abayomi Alabi has assured of perfect preparation and itch-free arrangement to host the chairmen and secretaries from other states in the Southwest which includes Ogun, Osun, Ondo Ekiti and Lagos State.
“There is also a plan to pay a courtesy and facility inspection visit to the management of Ilaji Sports Resort, especially to appreciate the Chairman of the resort, Engr Dotun Sanusi who has greatly contributed to the development of grassroots football within the last few years”, said the national secretary of YSFON, Okpavuehe.
