As Shafaudeen ‘L Islam Worldwide commenced activities for the celebration of 2021 Ishrat programmes, the renowned professor and Founder of the organization, Sabit Olagoke Ariyo has called government at all levels to make people the center focus of their policy.
Prof. Olagoke, who is the Grand Patron of Nigeria Youth Council, Oyo State, gave the admonition during the world press conference heralding the commencement of the annual festival tagged “Culture, Education and Religion for Functional Democracy & Sustainable Development”.
It was held during the week at Shafaudeen ‘L Islam headquarters, Wakajaye, Iwo-Road, Ibadan.
Prof. Olagoke explained that for Nigeria as a country to move in the progressive direction, it needs thorough breed leaders, who will rule with the fear of God and make the people the center focus of their programmes.
The cleric charged the leaders who are at the helms of affairs at local, state and federal levels to provide enabling environment for youths to excel in their various chosen fields.
He added that efforts must be concentrated on building youths that will take over the mantle of governance and transforming the country to a better place where every Nigerian irrespective of tribe and religion will live in peace, unity and harmony.
He narrated that all arrangements have been concluded for the successful organization of this year’s Shafaudeen Ishrat programme which will formally commence on January 16 with Kiddies Sports, Inter School Competition and Novelty Race.
Prof. Olagoke noted that all the Covid-19 protocols and measures have been put in place to ensure safety of all the participants who are coming from different parts of the country and abroad.
The cleric stressed that government agents have come to inspect the venue and facilities have been fumigated to ensure we have hitch-free festival.
He assured that Shafaudeen ‘L Islam mobile medical team are also on ground to ensure safety of every participants.
