An Ibadan socialite, Olaleye Ajibola, otherwise called Gatuso, was reportedly traced to a hotel and shot dead by some yet-to-be-identified gunmen.
Ajibola was said to have been attacked on Saturday evening by the suspected gunmen at Town House Hotel, Iyaganku GRA in the capital city of Oyo State.
It was gathered that Gatuso arrived at the hotel to have a good time with some of his friends when he ran into the gunmen who were just leaving the hotel premises.
PMParrot gathered from very reliable sources that there were indications that he was actually traced to the hotel by his assailants.
The gunmen were said to have successfully completed an operation in the hotel, carting away valuables belonging to staff and guests when they sighted Gatuso making a call.
Said one of our source “they robbed at the hotel probably to increase their gains while waiting for Gatuso to arrive there.”
He was gunned down at a close range, sources told our correspondent. His body has since been laid to rest.
The Police Public Relations Officer, Oyo State Command, Olugbenga Fadeyi, in a reaction to our correspondent, said, “Teslim Akinpelu, a.k.a Gatuso was shot dead by four armed men at Townhouse Hotel, NTC, Iyaganku at about 12:45 am. They pretended to be lodgers before carrying out their evil intention.”
